Sharon Cuneta stars in the 15th Anniversary offering of Star Cinema, “Caregiver,” a very timely story about a Filipina caregiver who is caught between her responsibility to her family back home and the patient she takes care of in a foreign land. Sharon Cuneta is a grade school teacher, Sarah, who decides to give up teaching for a more financially-rewarding career as a caregiver.While waiting for the petition of her husband (John Estrada) who is working as a nurse in London, Sarah takes a course in caregiving. When she gets to London, she trains under a Filipina named Karen (Rica Peralejo) who is the head of the care home, and immediately works as a caregiver.
As Sarah moves heaven and earth of taking care of other people, who will take care of Sarah herself? Conflict and trouble arise for Sarah and her husband who realize that life in a foreign country is not for them.
